THE NAVY YARD IS LAUNCHING NEW SHUTTLE SERVICES

The Navy Yard is pleased to announce new, free transportation services beginning Monday, December 3, 2012 for the tenants, employees, and visitors of The Navy Yard.

The Loop shuttle will run between SEPTA’s AT&T Station and points throughout The Navy Yard, on a similar route to the current SEPTA Route 71 bus. The Route 71 bus will be discontinued when The Navy Yard Loop shuttle service begins. Please note that there will be no interruption in services to and from AT&T Station. SEPTA will be discontinuing the 71 bus route on Friday, November 30, 2012, and The Navy Yard Loop shuttle will begin service on Monday, December 3, 2012. SEPTA bus routes 68 and 17, servicing The Navy Yard, will continue to run on their normal schedules.

In addition to the Loop shuttle from AT&T Station, The Navy Yard will also offer a free Express shuttle directly from Center City to The Navy Yard, also beginning December 3, 2012. The Express shuttle stop will be conveniently located on 10th Street, between Market Street and Filbert Street (map). It is adjacent to SEPTA’s Market East transportation hub, and is in close proximity to the PATCO Station, Market-Frankford subway line, and many bus routes.

All Navy Yard shuttles will be ADA accessible, and include bicycle racks and wifi. The Navy Yard will release shuttle routes and schedules as soon as they are available, via website at www.navyyard.org and social media (Twitter, Facebook). Please stay tuned for additional Navy Yard announcements coming soon!
