The expansion will provide new warehouse space and allow RevZilla to accommodate 60 new jobs that it expects to fill in the coming months, adding to the 100 employees already on staff at The Navy Yard. To accommodate its growth, RevZilla will expand to a 65,000-square-foot facility that will become RevZilla’s new East Coast warehouse and fulfillment center.
The expansion of the company comes just one year after RevZilla partnered with PIDC to relocate its office, showroom, and warehouse headquarters in South Philadelphia to a new, state-of-the-art building at 4020 S. 26th Street in The Navy Yard Commerce Center, developed by Liberty Property Trust/Synterra Partners.
“Today’s announcement demonstrates the remarkable growth of RevZilla.com as a premier eCommerce and tech company,” said Mayor Michael A. Nutter. “It also underscores the fact that the entrepreneurial spirit is thriving in our city, as more and more young business professionals like RevZilla co-founders Nick Auger, Anthony Bucci, and Matt Kull follow their passion and develop exciting, successful new businesses right here at home in Philadelphia.”
“Companies like RevZilla are critically important to the future of Philadelphia’s economy,” said PIDC President John Grady, “and our job is to help them be as competitive and successful as possible. In this case, The Navy Yard was able to accommodate RevZilla’s need for expanded space within the dynamic, growing business campus.”
For RevZilla, The Navy Yard expansion provides an opportunity for the company to stay “home” and grow in Philadelphia.
“The city is our home,” said co-founder Anthony Bucci. “This is where we built RevZilla. Philadelphia is part of our company’s DNA, and we’re excited to be able to continue growing here with the support of partners like PIDC, Liberty Property Trust, and the City of Philadelphia.”
In 2007, armed with a keen knowledge of eCommerce and marketing know-how, RevZilla’s three co-founders, Nick Auger, Anthony Bucci and Matt Kull, quit their jobs and launched an internet company that focused on a vertical they were passionate about – motorcycles. Utilizing proprietary technology developed by the founders, they built RevZilla.com as an online destination for premium motorcycle apparel, parts, and accessories and are riding a continued wave of explosive growth. Now a multi-million dollar enterprise, RevZilla continues to drive new and innovative approaches to online commerce. For more information about RevZilla, please visit http://www.RevZilla.com.
