PIDC is always proud to share news about the accomplishments and growth of its clients. Cashman & Associates is pleased to announce that Vice President Laura Krebs Miller has been awarded the prestigious PR News 2016 “Rising PR Stars 30 and Under” award, recognizing her exemplary work in the Public Relations field. PR News serves the national communications and marketing community at-large, and focuses on honoring PR professionals for their skills in marketing, social media, crisis management, and writing.
Laura Krebs Miller joins a group of accomplished professionals from well-known brands and agencies including Havas PR, Weber Shandwick, Bullfrog & Baum, Yahoo, ESPN, Time, Inc., Hilton and many more.
Several factors contributed to Krebs Miller’s win, including her integral role in the leadership of Cashman & Associates, as well as her passion and commitment for growing the company through her role in spearheading team-building activities throughout the year. Krebs Miller is a graduate of Philadelphia’s acclaimed Arts and Business Council’s Designing Leadership workshop. As the region’s first and only executive training for the creative sector, the program has been recognized as a Knight Foundation Arts Challenge winner, and is co-designed and led by executives of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and IBM, providing tools and insights tailored to the demands of creative economy professionals.
In addition to Krebs Miller’s management role within the company, she continues to display an exemplary media savvy, placing stories in national publications like Women’s Wear Daily, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Her work with clients such as Scannapieco Development Corporation, PREIT, Korman Communities, Radnor Property Group, Welcome America, The Kimmel Center and the Democratic National Convention has proven her diverse industry expertise, as well as her penchant for strategic planning and effective publicity tactics.
In addition to her professional achievements, Laura dedicates her personal time to non-profits, including “Mighty Writers,” a Philadelphia-based non-profit that teaches underprivileged children to think and write with clarity to nurture self-esteem, as well as the annual bike run for the “Toni and RJ Foundation,” which has awarded over $44,000 in scholarships to high school seniors who have taken on the cause to prevent distracted driving.
Born in Michigan and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, Laura graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Journalism and a minor in International Studies. She resides in Old City, Philadelphia with her husband, Jeff, and bulldog, Larry. Laura’s full bio can be viewed here.
PIDC was able to assist Cashman & Associates with a Capital Project Loan for the purchase and renovation of its current location in Old City.
