During the process of developing a proposal for Amazon’s HQ2, the City of Philadelphia was able to engage the existing business community in a new and exciting way. The enthusiasm and feedback, was both inspiring and informative; and to keep this dialogue going, Mayor Kenney traveled to Philadelphia businesses to hear directly from the business community about the benefits and challenges of doing business in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Delivers Tour  has been a great opportunity for the Mayor to engage the public in an informal setting and he will continue to visit with businesses throughout the city. Earlier this month PIDC hosted a stop on the tour for the Mayor to speak with 20 small business owners. The business owners have been appreciative that Mayor Kenney would spend time with this group and truly listen to and engage with the business owners.

Over a few short weeks the Amazon Proposal team put together some exciting marketing pieces for Amazon. One of which was a cool video highlighting all the great ways Philadelphia Delivers! Check it out.
