LOOKING BACK ON 2016

PLAZA ALLEGHENY GROUNDBREAKING
It’s hard to believe but 2016 is coming to a close. As we wrap up we wanted to share with you a few thoughts about 2016 from staff and a few photos. We look forward to reaching new corners in 2017!
“I am most proud of facilitating economic development grants toward Philadelphia projects which fulfills PIDC’s “Driving growth to every corner of Philadelphia.” Omar D.
“I’m most proud of our support for the University of Pennsylvania’s exciting new Pennovation Center. Through our brownfield financing program and streetscape initiative, PIDC is helping a key partner restore vitality and innovation to this important area of the City.” Kate M.
“I’m proud of all the events held at the Navy Yard in 2016! These engaging and highly visible events brought people from all over the region to take in everything the Navy Yard has to offer – events focused on health and wellness, philanthropy, or arts and culture like The Food Trust’s Night Market food truck celebration, Wanderlust 108 yoga community day, PAWS Mutt Strut, and a show for the Fringe Festival.” Jen T.
“I cannot say that I am most proud of any one particular project- every project which I am involved in impacts the City of Philadelphia in every corner of the City, from a non-profit receiving a grant for a roof replacement to a higher educational institution issuing tax exempt debt- no matter how big or small all are important.” N.K.
“I’m most proud of working with hundreds of entrepreneurs and wonderful partners for our Business Builder Workshop series.” Chamor H.
