Jobs, Internships, & Scholarships
Here’s a roundup of two opportunities for students in Philadelphia—1) a new internship scholarship program recently launched by PIDC, and 2) an internship and job platform from our partners at CampusPhilly.
PIDC-D’Alessio Scholarship for Urban Development
Walt D’Alessio has committed more than 45 years to PIDC as its chief executive and chairman. He embodies the core principles of the PIDC partnership—dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to supporting growth throughout Philadelphia. As part of PIDC’s 60th Anniversary, and in recognition of Walt’s decades of commitment and leadership at PIDC, his many years of service to Philadelphia’s business, civic and governmental communities, and his support for people across the profession, we launched the PIDC-Walt D’Alessio Scholarship Fund to support graduate students at Philadelphia schools seeking to pursue a career in urban development and finance. In 2019, up to two (2) scholarships of up to $2,500 each will be awarded. Scholarship recipients will also be offered a paid PIDC summer internship in 2020. The application deadline is October 15, 2019.
PIDC partner, Campus Philly, is a nonprofit organization that fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to study, explore, live, and work in the Greater Philadelphia tri-state region. Campus Philly has a free internship and entry level job platform with hundreds of opportunities. Registering for an account is easy and free for both students seeking opportunities and employers seeking new hires.
